It was a busy morning in House League Hockey this past Saturday with eight teams facing off in week three of the Atom division. The Grey and Green teams met in the opening game of the morning and left the scoreboard showing a 3-3 tie. Brady Krasinkiewicz opened the scoring for the green team off a feed from Brice Wallis. The game remained 1-0 until the third frame when the Grey team stormed back with three unanswered goals from Evan Morrison (2) and Daniel Gratton. But with time running down in the third, Aiden Matuzic netted a pair of goals drawing the Green team back to even.

In the second game of the morning, White edged out Red by a score of 6-4. The score was 2-1 after the first with Tyler Caron scoring for Red, and Thomas Field putting up a pair of goals for White. The second period ended in with the score tied 3-3, Goals coming from Zack Pearson and Aiden Healey for Red, and Luke West for the White Team. In the third period, Tyler Caron scored his second for the Red Team and Luke West put on a scoring display, finishing off a natural hat-trick, and adding an empty net goal with 0:25 seconds left to seal the deal for the White team.

The third game of the morning ended in Blue trumping Orange 4-1. The first period’s only goal came from Ryan Dennis halfway through the frame. In the second period however, the Blue team’s offence got into their rhythm with goals coming from Morgan Kernohan (from Joseph Stinson) and Drake Earle (from Anthony Bullock.) The third period proved to be more of the same from Blue with one goal each from Liam Cullinan, and Chase Nickels.

And the Last game in the Atom division on Saturday morning had “Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow” facing off. After a scoreless first period, the teams each found the net once in the second. Yellow’s forward Alexander Dafoe scored off the pass from Nolan Jennings and Black answered with a goal of their own from Sebastien Fraser (with Ivan Lange on the feed). But in the Third period, Black found the net five times; Sebastien Fraser got his second goal of the bout, and Jacob Roe sniped his second and third goals to complete the hat-trick and cap off the third week of action from Atom House League Hockey.
