
The Minor Bantams were on the road Saturday to take on the Hamilton Huskies and continue the good play they have been displaying recently.
The boys were in tough against a very good Hamilton team but they came to play and skated off with a 5-2 victory.
The line of Jack Hackett, Josh Barraclough and Cameron Rannie accounted for 4 of the 5 goals.Cameron Rannie opened the scoring in the first as he drove hard to the net to knock in a rebound off a Josh Barraclough shot. Barraclough upped the lead to 2-0 when he scored from Hackett and Rannie. Hamilton cut the lead in half until Jack Hackett scored to regain the 2 goal lead with Cameron Rannie and Josh Barraclough assisting.
The lead remained 3-1 until Lambton took another 4 minute head shot penalty and were unable to kill this one off as the Huskies made it 3-2 with 5 minutes remaining. Ethan Hunt was unreal in net making save after save to keep the lead intact.
Cameron Rannie put the game away scoring into an empty net and Conner Royer added a breakaway goal with a few seconds remaining.
Lambton played an outstanding game as every player made a contribution.
