The Huron Lakers Basketball Club hosted Ontario Basketball Tournament action this past weekend. 16 teams from across Ontario competed in three divisions of play for Major Atom, Bantam and Major Bantam tournament supremacy. An exciting weekend of play was wrapped up with medal games at the conclusion of round robin play.
In the Major Atom Division the host Huron Lakers team, coached by Brett Braekevelt, Janice DeVlugt and Mark Darrach captured the Bronze medal with a 24-16 win over the Guelph Knights. Gold was won by the London Ramblers with a thrilling 42-33 double overtime victory over the Chatham Wildcats.

Teammates are JJ Kidd, Anastasia Prins, Ana Stathakis, Chantal Devlugt, Chloe McCann, Emma Darrach, Jaysea Cowen, Jordan Braekevelt, Katie Johnson, Lauren Zottl, Laurin Moro and Monika Vowel.
In the Bantam Division, the host Huron Lakers coached by Ed Dragan and Ian Mackenzie avenged an earlier loss to the Windsor Valiants with a 45-25 Bronze medal victory. The Ajax Titans went 5-0 en route to their Gold Medal triumph over the Chatham Wildcats, 37-28.

Teammates are Alicia Maure, Bianca Dennis, Breanna Pretty, Gabrielle Craievich, Jessica Mackenzie, Katie Vandebberg, Mackenzie Mullen, Maiyah Tsaprailis, Sydney Hebert and Tatiana Hartman
And in the Major Bantam Division, the host Huron Lakers team were narrowly defeated by the Milton Stags in the Bronze medal game. Sarnia Valhalla fought their way to a Silver medal losing by the slightest margin to the Gold Medal Champs, the Chatham Wildcats 56-51.
