Sarnia Braves Edged out Courtright Cardinals

The Sarnia Braves Men's edged out the Courtright Cardinals in Western County Baseball league action by a score of 6 - 5.

Sarnia had 7 hits and 1 error, Courtright had 11 hits with 2 errors.

Jeff Jones pitched 4 innings striking out 4 and allowing 6 hits, 1 walk and 2 runs.  Mike Damchuk took to the mound for 3 innings and struck out 5, allowing 3 hits, 2 walks and 2 runs.  Anthony Shepherd went in for 1 inning striking out 1 batter, allowing 2 hits and 1 run and the final pitcher of the night was Rory Fell who struck out 2 batters.

Wade Babula hit a double that brought in 3 runs and also hit a single.  James Grant hit a double and a single, and Justin Randall, Mike Damchuk, Rory Fell, Greg Sinclair and Greg Kemble all batted singles.

On Friday the Braves travel to Tecumseh then back at home on Saturday hosting the Windsor Selects at 1:00 pm at Errol Rssell. On Sunday Tecumseh travels to Sarnia for the second meeting on the weekend between these two teams.  Sunday's game is also at Errol Russell Park at 1:00 pm
