Sarnia,On - At home, the St. Christopher
Cyclones Senior Ladies defeated
the Blenheim Bobcats 12 - 7 to
take the SWOSSAA A-AA Girls
Rugby title on Thursday.
Sammi
Taraborrelli and Nicole Fox
scored the Cyclones tries and
Fox kicked the convert.
Erika DeBrouwer scored the
Bobcats' try and Breanne
Nicholas kicked the convert.
"Both teams played really great,
it was a very physical game."
said Coach Mike Browne after the
game "Our Girls play great all
season, undefeated in league
play and now SWOSSA, I can't be
more prouder of these Ladies"
Co-Captains Sammi Taraborrelli
and Jess Naccarto, both grade
twelve students and in their
final year were excited about
the win.
"I thought we played amazing,
I'm so proud of everyone" said
Taraborrelli "that was a really
tough team, we played them
before and they are a really
good. This game was a clean and
good game to play. "Were
really excited to win SWOSSA,
this is the first time in
Cyclone's history!" added

Christopher will go to to the
OFSAA championship June 4 - 6 in
Ottawa.
In Petrolia the
SWOSSAA AAA-AAAA girls rugby
final was played and the LCCVI
Lancers fell to the Ursline
Lancers 38 - 10.
