Sarnia FC U10 (Chelsea) defeated
Chatham

Sarnia
FC (Chelsea) travelled to
Chatham on Tuesday night to face
the U10 Attack. On a gorgeous
evening for soccer, Sarnia FC
were seeking their second win in
a row. The game started with a
quick pace as both teams were
eager to open the scoring early.
Sarnia striker, Mateo Troiani
would open the scoring in the
first 10 minutes of action,
pounding the loose ball into the
left corner of the Attack goal.
Soon after, Chatham would
counter tying the game in the
dying minutes of the first half.
Teams went into halftime knotted
at ones.
The
second half produced exciting
action on both sides of the
pitch as both Clubs had numerous
scoring chances. Sarnia FC's
defense stood strong and Chelsea
keeper Andrew Harron denied the
Attack on many opportunities.
Late in the game, Sarnia striker
Ryan Janssens would answer the
call as he stormed around the
Chatham defenders and patiently
fired a thunderous shot into the
upper right corner of the goal.
It was a great passing play
which began deep in the Sarnia
end. Sarnia FC would defend
their lead and close out the
game with a one goal advantage.
Solid performance was evident by
all Sarnia players. Sarnia FC
(Chelsea) has a bye next week
and will return to action on
Monday May 28th vs. Sarnia U9.
