The Streak is broken, Pacers won
first game

Windsor,
ON - After a seven game winless
streak the Pacers won their first
game of the season with a 12 - 11
win in Ontario Lacrosse Jr B
in Windsor Wednesday night.
The
Pacers took a 6 - 3 lead in the
first period with TJ Mara, Liam
Wright (SH) and Ben Tamming (PP),
Liam Wright (PP), AP Player Ryan
Divine and Dan Charlton scoring.
Lucas Ducharme, Tyler McDowall (PP)
and Trevor Learn scored for Windsor.
In the
second period Sarnia added another 5
goals, Windsor answered back with 4
as Sarnia still remained in the lead
11 - 7 after two periods of play.
Dan Charlton scored three of the
goals, Ryan Divine added his second
and Connor Wright scored his first.
Scoring for Windsor were Brendon
Anger, Trevor Learn (PP), and Lucas
Ducharme put in 2.
In the
third period Windsor rallied back
and came within 1 point after
scoring 3 goals before Sarnia added
their final by Kevin Conroy to lead
12 - 10 heading into the final
minutes of play. Windsor once
again came within 1 point scoring
at 16:56 but the Pacers held on even
after playing short with a man in
the penalty box to take their first
win.
Ian
Ferguson earned the win in net for
Sarnia, Mike Cameron took the loss.
In power
play opportunities Sarnia went 2 for
4, Windsor went 2 for 6.
The
Pacers are back in action on Sunday
as they take to the road against the
Spartans. They return home on
Wednesday May 20th for a re-match
against Windsor.
