Cottbus,
Germany,- Team Canada
Dominique Pegg of Sarnia
also a member of the
Bluewater Gymnastics Club
won a bronze medal at the
World Cup in Cottbus,
Gerrmany on Sunday.
Pegg, competing in her
second time since breaking
her hand at he Pan Am Games
last October earned the
bronze with her new floor
routine.
From the Canada Gymnastic
website Pegg is quoted as
saying,
"I
was just focusing on getting
back into competing again
and now I just have to focus
on perfecting my routines
and keeping in top shape,”
said Pegg, who successfully
landed a difficult double
layout on her first tumbling
pass and ended with a strong
double pike.
Pegg also placed fifth on
vault and eight on beam
after qualifying for three
out of four event finals.
Brittany Rogers of
Coquitlam, BC won her
first-ever World Cup gold
medal in Women's vault and a
bronze on the balance beem.
Sarnia Bluewater Coach Dave
Brubaker is also in Cottbus,
Germany as a member of Team
Canada coaching staff.
