The
Sarnia Jr. Sting Major Atom MD defeated
the London Bandits by a score of 3-1 on
Saturday March 10 at the Clearwater
Arena.
The
Jr. Sting got off to a good start with a
nice scoring chance on the first shift
of the game but it was the Bandits that
opened the scoring with 1:38 left in the
opening frame.
Kaz Gudelis
would get the Jr. Sting on the board as
his hard point shot hit an opposing
players stick and popped up over the
Bandits net minder. Spencer Baillie was
awarded an assist on the play.
Collin
Zimmer would score on a partial break
away at the mid point of the second from
Spencer Baillie and Mathew Waun and
again with 25 seconds left in the middle
period on a rebound from Tyler
Talbot-Ellis and Nathan Oliphant.

Cam Stevens
would shut the door for the rest of the
game turning aside many Bandit
opportunities and London would get into
some penalty trouble late which would
put them two men down at the games final
buzzer.
Aiden Clark
was awarded the coach’s player of the
game puck and Cam Stevens was the
parents pick.

The Jr. Sting
will travel to London on Monday March 19 to
take on their arch rivals the North London
