Sarnia FC - Chelsea was back
in league action facing
Petrolia on a very warm
night for soccer. With the
temperature hovering around
the 90F range the boys would
be working up a tough sweat!
This was the first meeting
between the two teams as
Petrolia made the trek to
Bluewater Bridge Park.
Chelsea would come out
strong from the opening KO
and maintained most pressure
in the Petrolia end. Sarnia
FC would rotate the lines
every few minutes to make
sure no child would have
heat exhaustion. Chelsea
would enter the half up by
two.
The second half proved to be
the same scenario as the
first, with Sarnia
maintaining most possession.
Chelse goal scorers were:
Tristen Konrad (1), Justin
Torti (1), Mateo Troiani (2)
and Ryan Janssens (3).
Sarnia FC would rotate
goalies with Matthew Gouveia
starting and Ryan Janssens
ending in net. Both had
strong efforts in goal.
Final Score: Sarnia FC
(Chelsea) 7 - Petrolia 1
Sarnia will return to action
facing Club rivals Milan on
Tuesday night @ Bluewater
Bridge Fields.
