Sarnia Braves Men went 1 and 1 Against Defending Canadian Champions

On Sunday the Braves were in Windsor at Cullen Field for a double header against the defending Canadian Champions Windsor Stars..

In game one the Braves fell short by a score of 4 - 2.  Jeff Jones pitched 5 innings striking out 5, allowing 5 hits, 4 runs and 4 walks.  Mike Damchuck came in to finish the game for one inning,  Sarnia had 3 hits scoring in the 2nd.  Windsor had 6 hits scoring in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th innings.  The Braves committed 2 errors Windsor had none.  At bat with singles were Justin Randall, Alex McLean and Rory Fell.

In game two Sarnia squeaked a 2 - 1 win over the defending Canadian Champions.  Windsor took the lead in the second inning scoring a single run.  In the 3rd Sarnia scored their first run to tie then added the 2nd run in the 5th.  Both sides had a total of 5 hits in the game.  Wade Babula pitched the entire game striking out 3, walking 4 and allowing 5 hits.   Justin Randall batted out 2 doubles, and Chris Bright and Jim Sequin each singled.

The Braves are back in Windsor on Tuesday on the same diamond but different team as they go up against the Windsor Selects.  They are back at home next Saturday for a double header against Tecumseh Thunder games begin at 1:00pm.
