Elijah Grant scored a hat-trick for Sentry Fire in a 9-5 victory over In Motion to capture the Novice division 3 on 3 hockey Championship.

 

Chase Nickels scored twice while Aidan James, Landon Marcy, Sebastian Fraser and Cole Zinkie each scored single goals in the Sentry Fire victory.

 

Ryder Neinhuis had a hat-trick for In Motion in the loss, while Matthew Broer added the two extra goals.

 

The victory was Sentry Fire’s second of the morning as they won their first playoff game, shutting out Hazlitt Steeves Harris 9-0. Marcy had a hat-trick in the game, while Fisher Beaubien added two goals and Nickels, Josh Riley-Meyer, Fraser and Aaron Smtih each had single goals.

 

In Motion made their way to the finals with a 8-5 victory over Co-Operators. Neinhuis had a hat-trick, while Justin Torti and Saaim Ali Khan added two goals each and Nicholas Axani had a single goal in the victory.

 

Co-Operators had two goals from both Cyrus Sinopole and Jacon Zalesak in the loss.

 

In the Consolation game, Co-Operators would double up on Hazlitt Steeves Harris, winning 12-5. Nathan Lavender had a hat-trick in the victory, while Sinopole, Chris Latosinsky and Dan Jacques would each add two goals each.

 

Caleb Mackie, Cameron Hachey, Ethan Mathews, Ryan Whelpley and Austin Gauld scored for Hazlitt Steeves Harris in the loss.
