Braves suffered double loss in Windsor

The Sarnia
Braves Men baseball team traveled to Windsor
on Saturday for a double header and suffered
a double loss against the Windsor Athletics
in CanAm league action.
In game one the
Braves went scoreless and lost 8 - 0.
Windsor opened the game with four runs in
the first, added a single in the second and
fifth innings and finished it off with two
more in the sixth. Windsor scored the
eight runs on ten hits and 1 error.
Nick Baljeu pitched five innings striking
out five allowing six runs on eight hits and
a walk. Randy Thingstad pitched for
one inning striking out one batter allowing
two runs on two hits.
In the second
game of the day the score the Braves came
from behind and batted in six runs in the
seventh inning to tie the game at 7.
Windsor scored the lone run in the eighth
inning to take the 8 - 7 win.
Wade Babula went
the distance on the mound striking out eight
batters, allowing six hits and walking
three.
Hitting for the
Braves were Keegan Brandon with three
singles, Alex McLean and Mason McCarthy each
had two singles, Randy Thingstad hit a
double and Nick Baljeu, Jeff Randall and
Jamie Barron each had singles.
