FC Sarnia Chelsea U10 Dominated over Club Rivals Arsenal

SARNIA FC - CHELSEA vs. SARNIA FC - ARSENAL
 
Chelsea returned to Lambton Kent District Youth Soccer League action Monday night facing Club rivals FC- Arsenal. On a warm night for soccer the skies were overcast and rain had begun to fall at the opening kick-off. Conditions were slick, as players had to adjust to the wet field. Chelsea would open the scoring early when mid-fielder Kyle Flamminio would cross the ball to Mateo Troiani, who layed the ball out to Dominic Krasinkiewicz in the box, who turned on it and fired it into the lower corner of the net. Krasinkiewicz would notch his second of the game minutes later as he finished the corner kick pouncing on the loose rebound infront of the Arsenal goalie. FC - Chelsea's mid-fielder Tristen Konrad would not be denied as he showed great patience and fortitude finishing with a beautiful shot into the right corner of the goal. Striker Ryan Janssens would add another late in the first half to close out the scoring. Chelsea went into the half up 4 - 1.
 
Chelsea would dominate possession in the second half and were rewarded with two additional goals. Striker Jimmy Simpson, would add to the lead, when he found a loose rebound in the Arsenal box and shot it passed a sprawling keeper. Tristen Konrad would pick-up his second of the night with a precision blast from outside the 20 yrd mark that sent the Chelsea supporters home with a win. Great effort on all the teams part. Strong defensive game from Chelsea defenders : Christian D'Agostini, Dean Palimaka and Ivan Lange as well a solid performance from keeper Andrew Harron who made huge timely saves throughout the match.

Chelsea now host Petrolia next Wednesday night. Final Score: Sarnia FC (Chelsea) 6 - Sarnia FC (Arsenal) 1 .
