Sarnia Pacers win streak continues

Welland, On - The Sarnia Pacers won their 4th game in a row after defeating Welland 18 - 8 on Saturday in Ontario Lacrosse League action.
 

Sarnia took a 5 - 3 lead after the first with Ben Tamming, Conner Smith, Josh Yurchuck, TJ Mara and Dan Charlton scoring.
Jack Fitzgerald scored two goals for Welland and Brett Pace scored the singe.

 

In the second period the Pacers continue to add goals to the scoreboard scoring another 5 in the period.  Welland scored 3 goals again in the second and the Pacers increased their lead to 10 - 6 after two periods of play.  Brandon Burr, Dan Charlton, Kevin Hussey, Josh Yurchuck and TJ Mara each scored for the Pacers.  Brett Pace scored all three goals for Welland.

 

In the third Sarnia dominated and scored 8 goals with Welland adding just two.  TJ Mara and Conner Smith each scored two goals in the third, Kevin Conroy, Ryan Charteris, Josh Yurchuck and Dan Charlton each added singles.  Greg Boyd and Kyle Pedwell scored for Welland.

 

Justin Matthews earned the win in net with a total of 41 saves.  Graeme McCullough and Spencer Tanguay shared duties for Welland with a combined total of 38 saves.


The Pacers went 5 for 11 on power play opportunities, Welland went 3 for 8.

 

The Pacers are back at home on Saturday June 16 when they host Owen Sound at Clearwater arena at 7:00 PM.
