The Sarnia Braves won
their third straight
game with a 6-4 win over
the Wyoming Cowboys on
Tuesday night at Errol
Russel Park in Sarnia.
Nick Baljeu threw a
complete game five
hitter on his way to
his third win of the
season. He struck
out six.
Sarnia found
themselves down 3-0
in the fifth inning
to Wyoming before
Alex McLean started
what would be the
winning rally off of
Cowboys pitcher
Steve Grey. James
Grant would follow
with a walk before
Sarnia would string
together three RBI
doubles. Justin
Randall, Mike
Damchuk and Randy
Thingstad all
connected with
pitches, sending
them to the fence
for two-base hits.
Mason McCarthy, Eric
Freeman and Wade
Babula would keep
things going with a
single each.
The inning ended
with the score 6-3
in favour of Sarnia
and that would be
enough to secure the
victory.
Grant, Damchuk,
McCarthy and
Thingstad each had a
multiple hit games
for the Braves..
Babula, McLean,
Randall, Freeman and
Kemble all had a hit
apiece.
The Braves travel to
Corunna on Thursday
before heading to
Windsor this
weekend.
