SARNIA
FC
(CHELSEA)
vs.
CHATHAM
ATTACK
U10'S
On
Tuesday
July
17th the
Chatham
U10 boys
travelled
to
Sarnia
to meet
the U10
Chelsea
team.
First
place
was up
for
grabs as
1 point
separated
the two
teams.
Sarnia
FC
Chelsea
took
game one
earlier
in the
season
by a
score of
2 - 1.
Both
teams
came to
play as
the game
was full
of
excitement
with end
to end
action.
Sarnia
would
score
first
and take
the
early
lead. As
the
second
half
opened
Chatham
would
pressure
seeking
the
equalizer.
Sarnia
seemed
content
to sit
on the
one goal
lead. A
clearing
error by
Chelsea
resulted
in a
Chatham
striker
pouncing
on a
loose
ball
which
eluded
the
Sarnia
keeper.
As time
winded
down it
looked
as if
the game
would
close
out a 1
- 1 tie,
however
in the
dying
minutes
a
Chelsea
player
would
inadvertently
direct
the ball
into his
own goal
giving
Chatham
the win.
A GREAT
performance
by all
kids on
both
sides of
the
pitch!
