The
Sarnia Braves Senior Men were in
Petrolia on Saturday and took an
8 - 2 win over the Petrolia
Raiders in Western County League
action.
Petrolia's runs came in the
first inning as they led 2 - 1
at the end of the first.
From that point on Sarnia took
the lead by adding 2 runs in the
second, one in the fourth and 2
more in both the sixth and
seventh. Sarnia had a
total of 6 hits, 1 error.
Petrolia had 5 hits and 5
errors.
Wade Babula pitched six innings
striking out 8, walking 2 and
allowing the 2 runs.
Anthony Shepherd pitched for 1
inning striking out 2, and 2
walks.
Keegan Brandon batted 2 singles,
Wade Babula hit a double and
singles were hit by James Grant,
Jamie Barron and Greg Kemble who
got on by a bunt.
The Braves will comptete in
the Ontario AAA Eliminations
the weekend of August 3
through 6 Their first game
will be in Woodslee - Sarnia
vs Strathroy - 4:30 p.m.
