Sarnia
FC
Chelsea
travelled
down
Highway
40
to
face
the
Chatham
Attack
U9's
on
Monday
evening.
It
was
another
warm
night
for
soccer
as
the
temperature
was
hot
and
humid.
This
was
the
first
meeting
between
the
two
district
teams.
Chelsea
opened
the
game
strong
and
controlled
the
ball
forcing
most
of
the
play
in
the
Chatham
end.
In
the
10th
minute
of
action,
Chelsea
Striker
Ryan
Janssens
would
cross
the
ball
into
the
Chatham
18
yard
box
and
fellow
Striker
Jimmy
Simpson
would
control
the
ball
and
blast
it
past
the
U9
keeper.
A
few
minutes
later,
Sarnia
forward
Mateo
Troiani
would
play
the
give
and
go
with
mid-fielder
Dominic
Krasinkiciewicz
who
placed
the
perfect
ball
back
to
Troiani
who
finished
with
a
neat
toe
shot
into
the
corner
of
the
Chatham
goal.
The
Attack
would
get
one
back
soon
after
to
come
within
one.
At
the
dying
end
of
the
first
half
Chatham
would
equalize
when
their
mid-fielder
would
find
some
space
and
hammer
the
perfect
shot
behind
a
sprawling
Chelsea
keeper.
Teams
went
into
the
half
tied
at
two.
The
second
goal
seemed
to
ignite
the
drive
in
the
Attack
as
they
came
out
hard
in
the
opening
minutes
of
the
new
half.
Their
fortitude
was
rewarded
as
they
would
convert
a
breakaway
chipping
the
ball
over
the
Sarnia
goalie.
Chelsea
seemed
stunned
at
the
events
at
hand
but
re-grouped
and
mounted
some
offence
of
their
own.
Continuous
pressure
was
applied
by
Sarnia
which
resulted
in
the
equalizer.
Mid-fielder,
Kyle
Flamminio
would
not
be
denied
as
his
determination
who
lead
to a
great
goal.
At
an
almost
impossible
angle
he
would
fire
the
ball
with
his
left
foot
into
the
corner
of
the
goal.
With
the
game
tied
Chelsea
pushed
forward
for
the
go-ahead
goal.
The
Chatham
U9
keeper
stood
tall
and
strong
stopping
shot
after
shot.
Sarnia
would
be
rewarded
with
two
penalty
kicks
a
few
minutes
apart
and
the
Attack
goalie
denied
both
attempts.
As
the
game
winded
down,
Chelsea
striker
Mateo
Troiani
would
take
the
ball
and
find
his
way
past
the
Chatham
defence
finishing
with
the
perfect
shot
over
the
outstretched
hands
of
the
Chatham
keeper
sending
Sarnia
to
their
seventh
win
of
the
season.
A
strong
performance
by
all
players
on
the
pitch,
giving
parents
and
fans
an
exiting
evening
of
soccer!
