On
a rainy Thursday
evening, the Indians
played a rare
Thursday night game
on the road in
Fingal, versus the
first place Shedden
Mission.
The Indians failed
to bring their bats
however, as they
were limited to two
hits by Shedden
pitcher Nic Goetz,
who tossed a gem.
Chris Drew and Brad
Young both double
for Alvinston in the
fourth and sixth
innings
respectively, and
these represented
all of the Indians
offence on this
night.
Kyle Crawford was
the starter for
Alvinston, and he
pitched well as
well, but suffered
the loss. Crawford
allowed 3 runs in
which 2 were earned,
5 hits, and 4 walks,
with 8 strikeouts.
Shedden scored all
their runs in the
bottom of the third
inning, and that was
all the scoring on
this evening, as the
game ended as a 3-0
loss for Alvinston.
Jason Dawdy had the
big hit for Shedden
as he singled to
score the first two
runs of the game.
Next up for the
Indians is a
tournament this
weekend in Midland,
Michigan. They play
at 9:00pm on Friday
night.
