Sarnia Braves went 1 and 1 on Day Two at Lakeside AAA Tournament

London, Ont - On day two at the Lakeside AAA Tournament the Sarnia Braves Sr. Men were eliminated after taking a win and a loss.

In game one the Braves defeated Erindale by a score of 4 - 3.  Erindale took a 3 - 0 lead after the two innings but the Braves rallied back and scored a single run in the third and three runs in the fourth.

Rory Fell pitched for four innings allowing 3 runs, 9 hits and walked 1.  Matt Liberty went in for two innings striking out 1 allowing 3 hits and a single walk.  Mike Damchuk finished the final inning striking out 2 with 0 runs, 0 hits and 0 walks.  Sarnia had 3 error in the game and Milton had 2.

Sarnia had 3 hits with Alex McLean batting a double and a single and James Grant batted a single.

Game two saw the Braves fall to Milton by a score of 8 - 4.  Both sides were even with 2 runs after the first inning, then in the second Milton pulled ahead scoring 3 and never looked back and went on and added a single in the third, two in the fifth.  Sarnia added a single run in the third and seventh innings.

Jeff Jones pitched for three inning striking out 1, walked 1 allowing 8 hits and 6 runs.  Anthony Shepherd went in for 2 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 walk for 2 runs.  Matt Liberty pitched the final 2 innings striking out 1, walking 1 allowing 2 hits and 0 runs.  Sarnia had a single error in the game, Milton had 2.

Sarnia had a total of 7 hits in the game as Lance Hart hit 2 singles and Wade Babula, James Grant, Justin Randall, Mike Damchuk and Greg Kemble each singled.

With 1 win and 2 losses in the tournament the Braves did not move on to the next round.

The Braves are  back in action on Wednesday July 11 in WCBL hosting Port Lambton at Errol Russell Park with the first pitch set for 7:30.
