Sarnia, ON - Anthony Donati scored a hat-trick in the Sarnia Legionnaires final home game of the season, helping to lead the Legionnaires to a 5-4 victory over the Strathroy Rockets.

Donati opened the scoring in the second after a scoreless first, scoring a pair of goals, first on the power play, followed up by a late period goal with 14 seconds remaining to give Sarnia a 2-0 lead.

In the third period, the Rockets would come out quickly to knot the game at 2-2, as Justin Thomas and Greg Milner would score 16 seconds apart.

That wouldn't be the end of the scoring for the Rockets as Jordan McNaughton would score the third straight Strathroy goal to make it a 3-2 game. Justin Thomas would pick up his second of the period, as the Rockets score four straight to lead it 4-2 with just over half the period remaining.

Donati would complete his hat-trick, scoring the first three goals for the Legionnaires and cutting the lead in half. Daniel Nikandrov would tie the game just over a minute later, and 54 seconds after that, Jesse Drydak would get the go ahead goal with only a minute remaining in the game, as Sarnia would come back for the 5-4 victory.

Kyle Washer picked up the victory making 32 saves.

Sarnia will finish out the season in Leamington on Sunday, before starting their playoff series against Lambton Shores.
