In game two of the 6
point series the Jr
Sting played one of
their best games of
the year to defeat
Sun County 6-0 .
The Jr. Sting came
out hard right from
the opening whistle
to set a very fast
pace to the game.
The Sting scored 1
goal in the first
period and then blew
the game wide open
with 3 more
unanswered goals to
go into the third
leading 4-0. They
would add 2 more in
the third along with
keeping their cool
as Sun County seemed
determined to take
the game down to
street level.
Scoring for the
Sting were AP player
Curtis Helps who
provided 2 goals and
was a force to be
reckoned with all
afternoon. Also
scoring 2 for the
Sting was Byron
Montigue-Ruzik with
a pair along with
singles to Alec
Dekoning and Jarret
Marks . Assist went
out to Ethon Dupont
with 3 , Alec
Dekoning , Ryan
Greenaway, Isaac
McLean, Christian
Lyle and finally
helping out with an
assist AP player
Eric Marsh.
The series is tied
at 2 points apiece.
The Jr Sting
resumes action
starting next Friday
in Essex for a 3
game series on thee
weekend. Next
home game is
scheduled for Sat
Feb 25 at the RBC
centre - game time
3:00 pm.
