Sarnia Sting win in Guelph

Guelph; This was the second win in 10 years for the Sting in Guelph as they defeated the Guelph Storm 4 - 2 at the Sleeman Centre.

In the opening period Guelph took a 1-0 lead at 8:42 on a power play goal by Scott Kosmachuk.

 Sarnia tied the game six minutes into the second period when Craig Hottot’s scored assisted by Charles Sarault and Ludvig Rensfeldt.  Also in the second period Rensfeldt  gave Sarnia their first lead at 8:53 assisted by Brett Thompson.  

In the third period Sarnia widened their lead to 3 - 1  after Charles Sarault scored an unassisted goal at 12:29.  Guelph answered back at 13:34 with Cody McNauthton scoring.  In the last minute of play Craig Hottot scored his second of the night giving him his 18th of the season.  Domenic Alberga assisted on the final goal.

JP Anderson earned the win stopping 33 shots  Garret Sparks turned away 28 taking the loss.

In the 3 star selection Sarnia's Ludvig Rensfeldt was given first star,  Guelph;s Scott Kosmachuk was second star and Craig Hottot was awarded 3rd star honours.

The Sting are now 28-20-1-5 for the season.  Sarnia is in Saginaw on Saturday for the last of their road games series.  They are back at home on Family Day for a 2:00 pm game against London.
