Jason Lapointe rolls 300 in Thursday Night Mixed Bowling League

          Jason Lapointe rolled a perfect game in the Thursday Night Mixed League at Marcin Bowl to record the high single of the week in Sarnia 10 – Pin bowling action. The right handed bowler, participating on lanes 13 & 14 in his third game of the night, rolled his third career perfect game. He finished the night with a 668 triple.

                Jim Lapointe, bowling in the Marcin Tuesday Night Men’s League, tossed eleven strikes in a row only to leave a solid 10 – Pin on his last ball in his first game of the night. His 299 was the second highest single of the week. He finished the night with a 744 (246) triple.

                Mario Gonzalez fired 746 (235-277-234) in the Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League to record the week’s high triple.

                Topping off the scores in the Tuesday Night Men’s League were George Reid Jr. 724 (277-233), Chad Zonneville 674 (236-242), Jordan Cote 663 (233-235), Louie Williemsen 661 (247), Glenn Crowe 653 and Mel Matthews 264. Team standings are Hiawatha Horse Park 100, Billie Boxes 95, Top Coat Painting 85, D & D Flooring Installations 81, Canadian National ATM 78 and Team Two 65.

                Jim Creasor tossed 696 (228-267) in Marcin Bluewater Men’s League exploits. Other admirable scores were Ken Nimmo 687 (269-223), Bill Best 675 (243-246), Mark McCarthy 663 (224-237), Shawn Smith 644 (227-234), Mason McCarthy 635, Drew McLean 229-220, Joe Csercsics 226, Richard Bellaire 226, Andy Majewski 219 and Jody Antila 219.                 In Marcin National Farmers Union Mixed League play, the ladies top scores were Glenda Pedersen 392 (158) and Julie Robinson 367 (134). The men’s top scores were Lorne Johnson 470 (173), Ian Fraser 461 and Shawn Myers 213. On the gent’s side, the best scores were Roger Williams 592 (210), Wilson Plain 591 (223) and Dan Williams 214.

                In Airey Lanes Ladies Thursday Happy Hour League play, Tanya Goodall wheeled the high single 191 while Michelle Fraser rolled the high triple 494. Team standings are Di’s Ring 129, Crown Jewel 111, Fluttering Butterfly 106, Purple Petals 88, Bleeding Heart 86 and Star Burst 80.

                In Airey Lanes Sunday Night Mixed League action from the previous week, Mary Bradburn and Michelle Fraser shared the high single 178 while Bradburn fired the high three 487. On the men’s side, Harold Peters rolled the high single 235 and Terry Bradburn pitched the high triple 556. In this week’s action, Michelle Fraser took care of the women’s high scores with 187 and 544. Ken McLeod was tops for the men with 202 and 529. Team standings are Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs 40, Mud Hens 38, Fresno Grizzlies 38, River Cats 28, Reno Aces 24 and Las Vegas 51’s 24.

                In Marcin Ontario Hydro Mixed League fun, the ladies upper scores were Kim Taylor 539 (222), Barbara Heckley 470, Barb Montgomery 469 (196) and Annette Urban 185. The men’s leading scores were Paul Heckley 570 (194-194), Wayne LeGay 532 (195-204) and Ray Lucas 520 (203). Team standings are Stars & Strikes 128, Pisces 122, Haley Comet 115, Gemini “The Twins“ 114, Leo 107, Pinbusters 102, Strikeouts 98, Scorpio 98, Uranus 89 and Aurora 79.

                In Marcin St. Joe’s Mixed League action, the women’s main scores were Crystal Borody 535 (196), Tonie Verbeek 516 (199), Cori Landon 208, Kathy Petrany 179 and Stella Strand 172. The men’s top scores were Pete Dufault 600 (212-207) and Terry Donkers 202.                 In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League play, the top scores were Deb Jones 514 (198), Brenda Dennis 503 (177), Cheryl Millar 492 (178) and Beth Scott 176. Team standings are Fiddle Heads 50, Sweet Corn 46, Sweet Peas 43, Squash Blossoms 42, Cabbage Patch Kids 41 and Chili Peppers 30.

                In Marcin Monday Morning Ladies League action, the best scores were Mary Ann Riley 490 (184-176), Arleen Dion 441 (170), Charlene Tait 426 and Sue Hennessey 164.

                In the Marcin SMAA Majors division, the ladies top scores were Bryanne Vaillancourt 486 (173), Sandra Dunn 440 (160) and Jessica Tetreault 420 (162). On the gent’s side, leading scores were B J DeFrancesco 623 (214), Jordan Croskery 582 (218), Christian Litrenta 215, Jordan Purdy 213 and Andrew Cushing 200. B J DeFrancesco accomplished a very rare split conversion – the 7-10 split. 

                In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girl’s high scores were Carrie Plain 514 (189), Kara Pelkie 464 (166), Madison Vaillancourt 454 (183), Mikayla Durley 168, Makayla Apter 166 and McKinnley Croteau 159. Leading the way for the boys were Kody Croteau 544 (235-175), Tyler Edwards 507 (201-180) and Collin Hanley 457 (165).

                In the Marcin SMAA Preps division the girl’s best scores were Morgan Pelkie 357 (133), Hollie-Ann Jean 289 (117), Evelyn Babcock 267 (105) and Alissa Kameka 104. The boy’s best scores were Peyton DeMarco 406 (181), Jason Gruben 351 (128-119), Jacob Bestard 343 (119), Maximillian Michelucci 141 and Patrick Cullis 120.

                In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, Paige Jean rolled the girl’s high scores 88 and 212. The boy’s top scores were Ryan Gruben 264 (88-89), Yanic Babcock 223 (75-77) and Joey Windover 206 (74).

                In Marcin Tuesday Mixed League action, the women’s top scores were Denise Charron 475 (179), Julie Beaudoin 467 (211) and Beth Larocque 169. The men’s high scores were Marcel Lajoie 642 (217-222-203), Roy Baker 564 (204) and Marcel Philippon 560 (215). Team standings are Rose 95, Mums 82, Geranium 76, Lily 75, Azalea 74, Hydrangea 70, Daffodils 59 and Dahila 57.

                In Marcin Saturday Night Mixed League play, the ladies upper scores were Anne Strangway 510 (200-187), Traci Zonneville 492 (208), Sharon Zonneville 182 and Nancy Winter 180. The men’s top scores were Todd Atkinson 534 (189) and Ron Osadca 490 (185).

 

                Provincial 10 – Pin Tournament

 

The Provincial 10 – Pin Bowling Tournament will be held at Windsor’s Rose Bowl Lanes, May 12-27.
