Petrolia Squires took a beating on Friday

The Petrolia Squires took a beating on Friday night losing to the Clinton Radars by a score of 8 - 2 in WOAA Senior Hockey league action.

 

Clinton scored five goals in the first, added two in the second and a single in the third.    Mike Gillen and Kyle Provily each scored two apiece for Clinton and Tyler Doig, Mike Gillen, Ken Courtney and  Luke Vick added singles.

 

The Squires goals came in the first and second period with Tyler Haddon and Jesse Drydak scoring.

 

Clinton scored two shorthanded goals and three power play goals on 8 opportunities.  Petrolia scored 1 of 6 opportunities.

 

In net Matt Slotwinski took the loss for the Squires, Tommy Lee earned the win.

 

The Squires are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Listowel to face the Monkton Wildcats.  The Squires return home on Friday Dec 7 hosting Milverton at 8:00 pm at the Greenwood Recreation Centre in Petrolia.
