The Lambton Shores Predators continued their winning ways by defeating the St. Thomas Stars 6 - 3. This is the Predators 5th straight victory and 7th in the last 8 games.
Both sides were even after the first period. In the second the Predators took a 4 - 3 lead and in the third went on and scored two unanswered goals.
Leading the way was Adam Arseneault with a hat trick. Other goal scorers for the Predators were Cale Duberry with 2 goals and Ryan Rotondi with one goal. Brett Thompson was acquired in a deal from Listowel and earned an assist in his first game back.
Scoring for St. Thomas were Martin Kudla, Ryan Hamelin an Cam Garrow.
Earning his 5th straight win in net was Brandon Campbell turning away 30 shots. Donald Edwards took the loss with 27 saves.
St. Thomas went 1 for 7 in power play opportunities, Lambton Shores went 1 for 6.
The Predators remain on the bottom in the standings but are slowly moving upwards as they are just one point away against Sarnia and St. Mary's. Lambton Shores are 11 - 13 - 3 so far this season with 25 points.
The Predators are back in action tonight when they travel to Chatham. Next weekend Dec 15 they will host their rivals the Sarnia Legionnaires. Game time 7:30 pm at the Lambton Shores Recreation Centre.
