Purdy and Marinaro Drop to Fourth Place at ISU Junior Pairs Finals

Margaret Purdy (Watford) and Michael Marinaro (Sarnia) placed fourth after the Free Skate at the ISU Grand Prix Junior Pairs in Sochi Russia finals on Saturday. 

The young couple were ranked 1st going into the competition finished 2nd in the short program then dropped to fourth after the free skate. 

The Russian Pairs dominated and took the top three spots on the podium with Lina Fedorova/Maxim Miroshkin winning the gold with 161.11, Vasilisa Davankova/Andrei Deputat took silver 155.96 and the bronze to Maria Zagalova/Egor Zakroev. Purdy/Marinaro finished with a final score of 149.94. China Xiaoyu Yu/Yang Jin took 5th spot with 149.20 and finishing in 6th was Canada's Brittany Jones and Ian Beharry with 145.89.
