
Team Canada once again defeated Japan for the second time with a final score of 10 - 0 in the semi-finals. Forest resident Tyler McGregor recorded his first Team Canada goal late in the second period.
Greg Westlake (Oakville, Ont.) scored twice and added three assists and Dominic Larocque (Quebec City, Que.) and Brad Bowden (Orton, Ont.) had two goals each, while Billy Bridges (Summerside, P.E.I.), Adam Dixon (Midland, Ont.), Kevin Rempel (Vineland, Ont.) and McGregor added singles for the Canadians.
Canada scored four times while shorthanded.
Japan will play Norway for the Bronze Medal. Norway lost out yesterday to the USA 4 - 1 in their semi-final game.
Canada will now face the USA for Gold. This is the second year that these two rivals have met in the finals.
The finals will be played on Saturday Dec 8 with the Bronze Medal game being played at 2:00 pm EST (12:00 MST) and the Gold Medal game at 7:00 pm EST (5:00 MST). The Gold Medal game will be televised on TSN.
