The Minor Peewees faced the Windsor Spitfires at the Central Park Athletics Pad in Windsor Friday night.

With 3 players short heading into this game the Jr Sting found themselves trailing 3 - 0 at the end of the first period.  In the second period the Jr Sting held off the attack but Windsor scored their 4th goal in the final minute of the period.  In the third now trailing 4 - 0 the Sting played hard and Josh McLean spoiled Windsor shut out bid scoring the lone Lambton goal.  Matt McIntyre and Ryleigh Vanderwal earned the assists on the goal.  Windsor scored one more before the game was finished to take a 5 - 1 win.

Despite the loss Luc Thorne-Smith played outstanding turning away over 50 shots.

On Saturday the boys hosted the Brantford 99er's. After a disappointing loss the day before the Sting came on the ice fuelled up and ready to battle.

In the first period the 99er's fired shots on the Lambton net but were turned away by Luc Thorne-Smith. In the final minute of the first period Ryleigh Vanderwal scored the first goal of the game unassisted giving the Jr Sting a 1 - 0 lead heading into the second period.

Brantford fought hard in the second period kept the puck in Lambton's end and with just :56 seconds left in the period Branford scored to head into the final period tied at 1-1.

Action continued in the third with both sides going end to end.  Lambton was given a power play opportunity and Dylan Riddell came up with the game winner scoring for the Jr Sting assisted by Nolan DeGurse and Kyle Kachan.  The 99'ers pulled their goalie in the final minute of play in the attempt to tie but netminder Thorne-Smith denied any scoring chances and the game ended with Jr Sting winning 2 - 1.

Next weekend the Minor Peewee face the London Knights at home for a 1:15 puck drop on the main rink at the RBC centre and on Sunday they travel to Cambridge to take on the Hawks.
