Chatham, On - The Sarnia Legionnaires took a 6 - 5 loss in Chatham on Friday night in their first game of their home/home exhibition series.

Sarnia scored the first goal early in the game on a powerplay by Bobby King assisted by Chad Beauchamp and Jeff King. Chatham went on and scored five goals, three in the first and two in the second before Sarnia scored their second goal late in the period by Matt Ciccarelli with Frank White and Jeff King assisting. Chatham added their sixth and final goal at 1:42 into the third and Sarnia came back adding three goals, but time ran out giving Chatham the win.  Chad Van Eyk scored the third goal from Hunter Tycznski and Zack Tuchlaper, Brennan Rainey from Matt Ciccarelli and Jeff King scored the fourth and the final goal by Chad Van Eyk his second of the night from Jeff King with his 4th assist in the game.

Branden Johnson and Andrew Ganter shared the netminding duties.  Johnson made a total of 13 saves, Ganter 12.

The Legionnaires are back in action Saturday at the Sarnia Arena with a puck drop at 7:10.
