Creasor, Marciniszyn and Anderson toss top scores

                Jim Creasor and Pam Marciniszyn rolled the men’s and women’s high triples in this final week in Sarnia

 10 – Pin bowling league action. Creasor tossed 759 (234-279-246) in the Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl while Marciniszyn fired 706 (246-245) in the Thursday Night Mixed League at Marcin Bowl.

                Ernie Anderson took the high single honours as he rolled the first eleven strikes in the Marcin Triple A Mixed League but came up short on his last ball to finish with 296. He was also 115 pins over his average.            Bob McQueen fired 749 (290 – eleven strikes in a row – 92 pins over average) in Marcin Wednesday Night Mixed League action. He was followed by Gord Bayly 616 (220), Tom Colbran 604 and Josh Kleinsmith 234. The women’s top scores were Cindy Carroll 499, Marnie McQueen 497 (199), Marion McLeod 479, Diane Fletcher 175 and Jo Ann Card 173. Final team standings are Bugs Bunnies 75, Elmer Fudds 72, Jetsons 69, The Uh-Ohs 66, Snagle Puss 65, Smurfs 62, The Incredibles 60, Yogi Bear 59, Dumbo 58, Tazmanian Devils 55 and The Flintstones 54.

                Jim Creasor rolled 742 (238-279) in Marcin Bluewater Men’s League exploits. He was pursued by Mark McCarthy 649 (256), Mason McCarthy 647 (244), Jim Amlin 610 (231), John Kritch 243, Shawn Smith 232, Wally Sandrin 226, Drew McLean 224, Joe Csercsics 222, Randy McEachern 218, Chris Harris 215, Len Hakker 214, Glenn Mackinnon 209, Dan Smith 199 and Shannon Smith 198.                 In Marcin Saturday Night Mixed League play, the men’s upper scores were Justin Zonneville 675 (223-226-226), Rob Lacasse 587 and Gary Zonneville 579 (216). The ladies leading scores were Traci Zonneville 602 (196-220), Anne Strangway 519 (190) and Sharon Zonneville 481 (207). 

                Topping off the scores in the Triple A Mixed League were Rob Vandermeer 653 (224-225), Ken Nimmo 632 (260), Tim Van Ekeren 631 (230-224), Mike Shoults 224, Joe Csercsics 223, Len Duister 216 and John Cardwell 210. A memorable event happened at the end of the second game on lanes 17 & 18. Mike Street got down on one knee and proposed to Wendy Foster. Wow!! Who said bowling isn’t exciting. The men’s notable scores were Steve Bates 615 (267 – 91 pins over average), Joe Borody 610 (215) and Kevin Hughes 558 (211).
