1 in game three of the Hockey Alliance of
Ontario West MD Championship giving the
Nationals the title.
London opened the
scoring just two minutes into the game and
it would stay that way until early in the
third when Spencer Baillie would even the
game for Sarnia with assists going to Cole
Goossens and Collin Zimmer.
London added two quick
goals in the middle of the third and an
empty netter to complete the win. Stevie
Schaefer played well in net for the Jr.
Sting. Players of the game were Damon
Skinn-Wai and Evan Trigatti.
The Jr. Sting would
like to congratulate the Nationals players,
parents and coaching staff.
The Jr. Sting Major
Atom MD can boast a regular season record of
19 -4-2 and a playoff record of 9-1-0. The
Jr. Sting beat the London Bandits in the
first round semi-finals in two games before
falling to the Nationals.
By winning the
semi-final round the Jr. Sting is eligible
to take part in the Hockey Alliance of
Ontario Provincial Championships in
Stratford, Ontario on the weekend of April
14-16.
