Mooretown Losing Streak Continues

The struggling
Mooretown Flags took a 4 - 1
loss in Wallaceburg on Wednesday
night in Great Lakes Jr. C
Hockey league action.
Wallaceburg
scored one goal in the first,
added two in the second and a
single in the third.
Frankie White, Cory Lucier,
Lucais Meyskens and Trevor
Waller scored for Wallaceburg.
Mooretowns loan
goal was the last goal scored in
the game midway into the third
by Dan Lumley assisted by Brent
Blais and Kyle Smith.
Wallaceburg
outshot the Flags 39 - 23.
Flags netminder Brandon Johnson
made 35 saves while Joel
Sowinski took the win with 22
saves.
Both sides went scoreless on the
power play. Mooretown
scored zero on eight
opportunities, Wallaceburg went
zero on ten.
The Flags are now
2-9-1 for the season. The two
wins came in their first game in
Sept and their first game in Oct
both won in shoot outs.
The Flags look to keep that
streak alive and will look for a
win in their first game in
November when they host the
Wheatley Sharks on Saturday
November 1st. Wheatley
currently sits in 5th spot with
a record of 7-6-0. Saturdays'
game time is set for 7:30pm.
