Sharks Attacked Mooretown

.The
Mooretown Flags were in Wheatley
on Saturday night and the Sharks
downed the Flags 6 - 3.
After the first
period both sides shared goals
to head into the second tied at
one each. Wheately scored
first at 6:14 by Calyn Kir.
Flags Rookie Ethan Dupont scored
his third of the season assisted
by Dan Lumley and Caden Fleming
at 11:37.
In the second
period the Flags took a two goal
lead with Dan Lumley from Kyle
Smith scoring at 2:33 and Brett
Thompson from Taylor Declercq
and Sam Jasmin at 8:06.
The Sharks battled back and tied
things up with the first goal at
10:43 then adding a power play
goal at 17:35. Riley Enns
and Michael Travis scored for
Wheatley in the second period.
Third period it
was all Sharks scoring three
unanswered goals, the last two
on power plays. Brett
Bowman, Mike Reid and Antonio
Ciampa scored the final goals.
In total the
Flags took twenty-six minutes in
penalties on eleven infractions,
Wheatley took eighteen minutes
on five.
Mooretown went
scoreless on two power play
opportunities, Wheatley scored
three on eight chances.
Wheatley outshot
the Flags 43 - 30. Riley
Collins in net for the Flags
made 36 saves in the game.
Conner MacKinnon made 27 for the
Sharks.
The Flags are back in action on
Wednesday Oct 29 when they make
the short trek to Wallaceburg to
take on the Lakers. The
Flags return home on Saturday
Nov 1 when Wheatley comes to
down. Both games begin at
7:30 pm.
