Mooretown Flags Thumped by Essex 73's

The Mooretown
Flags traveled to Essex Tuesday
night and suffered a 9 - 0 loss
against the league leaders Essex
73's in Great Lakes Jr. C hockey
action.
Essex took a 3 -
0 lead after the first period,
added 4 in the second and 2 in
the third.
Daniel Slipchuck scored two
goals and singles by William
Stadder, Matt Zelko, Jordan
Ryan, Anthony Cristofaro, Tyler
Scott, Matthew Herbert and Mark
MacPherson.
Despite the loss
the Flags played a disciplined
game taking eight minutes on
four infractions in penalties.
Essex was handed a total of
eighteen minutes on five
infractions.
Mooretown went
zero for four on the power play,
Essex went two for two.
Essex outshot
Mooretown 54-20. Riley
Collins and Brandon Johnson
shared goaltending duties for
the Flags. Collins made 32
saves in the game, Johnson
stopped 13. Colin Lauzon
earned the win made 20 saves.
The Flags are
back in action on Saturday
November 15 when they host
Dresden. Game time is at
7:30 at the Moore Sports
Complex.
