February 3, 2015

The Mooretown Flags travelled to Essex last night for their first meeting against the 73's in the Great Lakes Jr. C playoffs and suffered a 9 - 0 loss.

Essex went up 2 - 0 after the first, then scored two power play in the second and the first two goals in the third were power play goals and the 73's went on and added three more for a total of five goals in the third period.

The recorded shots on goal were in favour of the Essex 31 - 9. Brandon Johnson and Steven Taylor shared the duties in net for the Flags. Noah Hedrick was in net for Essex.

Captain Dan Lumley got injured early and didn't finish the game.  Brett Thompson received a major penalty and will be out for the next two games.
