Mooretown Flags Lost in Belle River

The Flags lost their 3rd in a row Friday night after losing in Belle River 3 - 1 against the Canadiens in Great Lakes Jr. C Hockey league action.

 

Belle River scored singles goals in all three periods with the first goal shorthanded by Thomas Eady.  In the second period Hunter Corp gave the Canadiens a 2 - 0 lead.  Still in the second, Mooretown answered back on a power play goal scored by Matt Brandon assisted by Chad Beauchamp and Macgregor Haddon.  Belle River third goal in the third was a power play goal by Sebastian Kanally.

 

Mooretown went one for five on power play opportunities, Belle River scored one on two opportunities.

 

The Flags (12-12-1-1) are now in sixth place with 26 points, one point behind Blenheim. (12-9-1-2)

 

Next up the Flags travel to Amherstburg on Sunday Dec 15 then they are back in Belle River on Friday Dec 20 before returning home on Saturday Dec 21 when they host Alvinston.
