the Blenheim
Blades 5-2
in Great
Lakes Junior
C Hockey
action.
Blenheim got
on the board
first as
Tyler Clarke
scored
midway
through the
first period
for 1-0
Blades lead.
Mooretown
would
respond
quickly on a
man-advantage,
as Travis
Mullen would
pick up a
power play
goal to tie
it at 1-1 at
the end of
the first
period.
In the
second the
Flags would
take a two
goal lead,
as McGregor
Haddon would
score midway
through the
period,
followed by
Mullen
picking up
his second
power play
goal of the
game just
forty-seven
seconds
later to
give
Mooretown a
3-1 lead
heading into
the third.
Jeff
Schroeter
would secure
a three goal
lead,
scoring his
first of the
period at
the 8:32
mark.
Blenheim
would add
one more as
Zach
Mailloux
scored, but
Schroeter
would add
his second
of the
period, as
the Flags
went on to a
5-2 victory.
Mike Burns
had three
assists in
the game on
the first
three
Mooretown
goals.
Brandon
Johnson
finished the
game making
32 saves on
34 shots to
pick up his
second win
of the
season.
The Flags
travel to
Dresden on
Friday,
October 26th
and return
home the
next night
to take on
Belle River.
