Win in Kingsville

Sunday night the Flags
traveled to Kingsville and took a 6 - 2 win over the
comets in Great Lakes Jr C hockey action.
"It was a good game I
thought the boys did really well." said Flags head
coach Jordan Pennesi "We just stuck to our
game plan all night and we did a good job putting
the puck in the back of the net."

In the first period it
was all Flags as they scored three unanswered goals.
Mike Burns scored the first goal at 9:39 on a power
play assisted by Jeff Schroeter and Dan Lumley.
Frankie White
added the second with Jordan
Orth earning the
assist at 14:13 and the final goal in the first was
scored just over a minute later at 15:59 by Riley
Roberts from Schroeter and Jeff Sit.
In the second period
both sides shared a single goal with Zack Brown of
Kinsville opened the scoring at 1:58. Travis
Mullin answered back for the Flags on a power play
at 12:52 assisted by Schroeter.
Kingsville added their
second goal in the third at 2:57 on a power play
scored by Daniel Beaudoin. The next two goals
were scored by the Flags just :14 seconds apart with
the first goal at 16:44 by Mike Burns assisted by
Dan Lumley and the final goal at 16:58 by Calab
Harse unassisted.
Braden Palocz was in net
for the win with a total of 25 saves.
"Braden Palocz played
outstanding." said Pennesi "He made a couple of
saves in the second period to keep us in it on a
couple of breakaways, I thought he was the
first star of the game."
Nathan Crankshaw and
Marcus Rees shared the tending duties for the Comets
with a combine total of 29 saves.
