Dresden, ON – The Mooretown Flags have hit their
third loss in a row, after a 3-2 loss to the
Dresden Jr. King Friday night in Dresden.
Mooretown held the early lead after Jeff
Schroeter made it a 1-0 game in the middle of
the first, but the Flags would not get out of
the period with the lead, as James Shelton made
it 1-1 with his late period goal with under two
minutes remaining.
Mooretown would though retake and hold the lead
in the second, as Aaron Schieman would score on
the powerplay to make it a 2-1 game after two.
But in
the third, it would only take Dresden four
minutes to get their first lead in the game.
Taylor Sisson would score 2:50 into the period,
followed by Cam Ross 1:14 later on, as Dresden
took the 3-2 lead. Mooretown would not be able
to respond, and the Jr. Kings would came away
with the victory.
Andrew
Ganter got the start and made 25 saves in the
loss.
Mooretown is back in action on Wednesday, with a
home game against Kingsville.
