Mooretown, ON – After being the overtime hero in
game one, Jeff Schroeter scored twice for the
Mooretown Flags in game two as part of a 4-2
Flags victory that sees them go up two games to
none on the Alvinston Flyers in their first
round Junior C best of seven.
Schroeter scored the only goal in the first
period with a late power play to give Mooretown
a 1-0 lead.
Alvinston would respond early in the second
period as Chris Edwards tied the game at 1-1
with a short handed goal.
With
under a minute remaining in the period,
Schroeter would pick up his second goal of the
game on the power play to put the Flags back in
front. 16 seconds later, McGregor Haddon would
make it a two goal Flags lead, as Mooretown lead
3-1 after two periods.
In the
third, Joe Archer would score a power play in
the first two minutes of the period. But
Mooretown restore their two goal lead as Michael
Gray netted a goal to make it a 4-2 game.
Andrew
Ganter picked up his second playoff victory
making 37 saves for the win.

three goes Tuesday night in Alvinston.
