Mooretown, ON – Andrew Ganter stopped 34 shots
Saturday night for his ninth win of the season,
as the Mooretown Flags defeated the Dresden Jr.
Kings 5-3 in Junior C hockey.
Dresden had the early lead in the first period,
as Jeremy Griffore scored on the power play to
start the scoring. But the Jr. Kings would only
have a lead in the game for 35 seconds, as
Spencer Bronzi would tie the game, sparking a
three goal streak by the Flags. Jeff Sit would
get a late first period goal to make it 2-1
after the first period.

Sokol would make it 3-1 midway through the
second with a power play goal, but the Kings
would answer back with a power play goal of
their own from Jeff Vanrabaeys. Mooretown would
quickly respond again, keeping their ttwo goal
lead, as Alex Dawson made it a 4-2 game after
the second.
In the
third, Dresden would bring it back to one, as
Derek Daly scored midway through the third. But
with the net empty, the Kings couldn't find the
equalizer, and Dan Lumley would find the empty
net, as Flags go on to the 5-3 victory.
Mooretown continues to be first in the North
Division, and will next take on Wheatley on
Monday, December 5th.
