Wallaceburg, ON – After handing the Wallaceburg
Lakers an 8-3 defeat on Saturday, the Mooretown
Flags went to Wallaceburg and gave them another
loss, as Mooretown won 4-2.
The
back to back victory opened with a called up
player for the Flags getting them on the board,
as Frank Dimaria opened the scoring and gave the
Flags a 1-0 lead. Wallaceburg would reply in the
period, as Jeff Nolfo would get his first of the
game.
In the
second, Mitch Handsen another Flags call up
would put Mooretown back in front, but much like
the first period, Nolfo would tie the game up
minutes later, sending the game into the third
tied at 2-2.
In the
third, Jeff Schroeter would put Mooretown back
in front 30 seconds into the period, with Jeff
Sit picking up the assist. The two would combine
again for a second goal, only this time Sit
would finish, giving Mooretown the two goal lead
and the victory.
Andrew
Ganter made 40 saves in the victory to earn his
11th victory of the season.
Mooretown will take on Alvinston Saturday,
December 17th as their last home game of 2011.
