Mooretown takes game 3; leads series 2-1

The Mooretown Flags have
taken a 2-1 series lead over the Alvinston Flyers with a
5-3 victory Wednesday.
The scoring got started very
in the second period of game 3, as Dan Warner of
Alvinston scored twenty-seven seconds into the period to
put the Flyers up 1-0. But it would only take the Flags
twelve seconds for Jason Teschke to knot the game at
1-1. Three minutes later Duncan MacSorley would put the
Flags ahead with his first of the playoffs. But
Alvinston would tie the game up as Chris Edwards scored
to make it 2-2. But two minutes later Josh Teschke would
make it 3-2 with his mid period goal as Flags got out of
the second period with the lead.
In the third the Flyers
would tie it quickly as Jake McPhail scored 1:27 into
the third period to tie it at 3-3. The Flyers would fall
into penalty trouble in the third and it would cost
them. Derek D'Andera would score on the powerplay to put
the Flags back in front 4-3. And midway through the
period, Josh Teschke would get his second of the game on
the powerplay to make it 5-3. Mooretown would keep the
puck out the rest of the period and go on to the 5-3
victory.
Jordan Gladwish made 37
saves in the victory while Brandon Campbell made 38
saves in the loss.
Game 4 goes February 18th in
Alvinston.
