Mooretown Flags vs Essex 73's

The Flags suffered a disappointing home/season opener taking a huge 10 - 2 loss against Essex on Saturday night.

Essex scored 3 goals in both the first and second periods and another 4 in the third.  Mooretown's first goal was scored in the second period Josh Teschke on a powerplay.  The second goal was in the third period by Ryan Hunt.

Essex outshout Mooretown 49 - 41. Jordan Gladwish took the loss in next allowing 9 goals and was replaced for the last 15 minutes by Colton James who allowed 1 goal.

Essex went 2 for 8 on the powerplay, Mooretown went 1 for 6.

The Flags look to put this game behind as they prepare for game 2 against Alvinston in Mooretown on Sat September 25.  Game time 7:30 pm.
