Coach’s Corner
with Head Coach Bruce Aberhart.
On
Wednesday night we avenged our 6-5 overtime loss, by
downing the Blenheim Blades by a score of 8 – 3. It was
a good divisional win for us. Blenheim is a far better
team than they have had in the past. This season the
Blades have come to the rink ready to compete. Wednesday
night our guys did so as well and we came out with an
important win. Josh Teschke had a 6 point night 2 goals
and 4 assists, while Jason Teschke had a 5 point night
(3 goals and 2 assists) and Adam Little had a 4 point
night (1 goal and 3 assists. Other goal scorers were
Kurt Glowa and Caleb Harse. Darby MacKinnon, Cody
Harman, Greg Babcock, Caden Fleming and Mike Burns each
picked up an assist. Our Jordan Gladwich made 33 saves
to earn the win. The Blades’ Dylan Vanderpol and Brandon
Cowell combined to make 27 saves.
Into this
weekend of play we can’t afford to let wins get by us.
Coming into the Christmas season we need to pick-up as
many “wins” as we can. Getting two wins this weekend
will be exactly what the doctor has in order for us.
