After a 12 day lay off the
Flags traveled to Alvinston where they came up short in
the 4 - 3 loss against the Flyers.
First period action saw
Mooretown score back to back powerplay goals the first
by Tyler Prong and the second by Jason Teschke.
Alvinston answered back and scored two goals the first
by Dan Warner and in the last minute of play in the
first period Brock Pinnell scored on a powerplay.
In the second period Dan Warner scored his second of the
night to give Alvinston the lead with an unassisted
goal. Just a minute later Chad Rainesberry widened
the lead by 2 and the period would end with Alvinston
leading 4 - 2.
Donny Bowling narrowed the gap in the third when he
scored a shorthanded goal, but the Flyers held on and
earned the win.
Netminder Colton James took the loss for the Flags
making a total of 36 saves. Brandon Campbell
earned his 4th win of the season.
Mooretown went 2 for 5 on the powerplay - Alvinston went
1 for 6.
Mooretown returns to the ice tonight at home against
Essex. Game time 7:30 at the Moore Recreation
