Seven goal
second period as Flags top Comets
The
Mooretown Flags and Kingsville Comets combined for seven
goals in the second period, as the Flags take the Sunday
night game 8-6.
Mooretown
would jump out to a 2-0 lead in the first as Aaron
Schieman and Josh Teschke would score for the Flags. The
Comets would get a goal back in the middle of the
period, and going into the wild second period, the Flags
lead 2-1.
In the
second period, a puck seemed to have passed the goal
line every two minutes, as Adam Little opened up the two
goal lead for Mooretown 2:04 into the second. Kingsville
would reply with a goal, but so would the Flags Donny
Bowling. Two minutes later Kingsville’s Justin Parker
would score to lower the lead back to one, but Adam
Little would add his second of the period to restore the
two goal lead. But Kingsville would respond again, as
Andrew Meloche would score. Mooretown would add a final
goal in the period by Mike Burns, as seven goals pass
the goalies,
Mooretown
would open their lead to three goals as Bowling would
get his second of the game midway through the third.
Kingsville would respond, but Adam Little would add his
third of the game to make it eight goals for the Flags.
Meloche would add his second of the game for the Comets,
but Mooretown’s lead was enough to win 8-6.
Kingsville had 45 shots on goal Colton James who
saved 39 shots in the victory. |
