The Mooretown Flags came away with a big win Wednesday night, giving Wallaceburg only their third home loss of the year with a 7-6 victory.

Kurtis Glowa would give the Flags a 3-0 lead with his late third period goal, but the Lakers would finally get on the board as Brendon Merritt scored on the powerplay to make it 3-1 after one.

In the second, the Lakers didn't waste time getting back into the game. Rob Pollock made it 3-2, and a minute twenty-seven later, Tyler Lewis would erase the Flags three goal lead, as he tied it for the Lakers. But under a minute later, Mike Burns would put the Flags back in front 4-3. In the second half of the period, the Lakers would see their first lead, as Norm Leger and Tyson Isaac each scored powerplay goals to give the Lakers a 5-4 lead at the end of the second.
